Newcastle United are interested in signing Alexander Isak during the summer transfer window, with the Real Sociedad striker amongst the names on their attacking wishlist, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The Magpies have left themselves with a brilliant chance of remaining in the Premier League for another year. And with that, Eddie Howe’s side will definitely be the ones to watch over the summer.

They provided a glimpse of what is to come in January. And their fans will hope that they make the signings to kick on next term.
Certainly, it appears that they have some exciting targets in mind. And according to the Daily Mail, one of the names Newcastle want is Isak.

Reports in January claimed that the Real Sociedad starlet would be the Magpies’ ideal striker signing. And it would seem that they have now put themselves in the running.
Isak has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months. Arsenal have reportedly told the Sweden international that they want him this summer. However, his £66.7 million release clause could be a problem for the Gunners.
Newcastle may steer clear of Isak move given reported budget this summer
Isak looks to have the potential to be a world-class striker. He scored 17 goals in La Liga last season. And he followed that with an ‘exceptional‘ showing at Euro 2020.
However, Newcastle may not have the budget to spend £67 million on a striker. Recent reports from The Telegraph suggested that they are likely to spend less than £90 million this summer.
Isak has not had as impressive a year this time around. So the Newcastle hierarchy may be wary of spending more than two-thirds of their reported budget on him.
