Report: Newcastle United now considering signing attacker who can do ‘crazy things’, with Manchester United no longer keen
Eddie Howe’s side have been looking to bring in a new striker all window, with several a whole host of players being considered.
Ten Hag’s side have now been offered the chance to sign a striker from La Liga, but time will tell if a move ever comes to fruition.
The giant 25-year-old, who is capable of doing ‘crazy things in the air’, only has a year left on his contract at Stuttgart.
Newcastle are considering signing Kalajdzic
Kalajdzic didn’t have his best season in the Bundesliga last year after struggling with a shoulder injury that kept him out for almost half the season.
He managed to score six goals and provide two assists in 15 appearances, which still made him Stuttgart’s top scorer as they narrowly avoided relegation.
When fully fit, he’s capable of contributing so much more, scoring 16 goals the season before, and he’s already registered three assists in Stuttgart’s opening two Bundesliga matches.
Standing at 6ft 7in, Kalajdzic’s obvious strengths are his ability in the air and hold up play, however, he’s more than capable of playing a more technical game with the ball at his feet.
He provided both assists in Stuttgart’s most recent match, a 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen, with the second a fantastically weighted through ball into Silas.
Kalajdzic would be a very good option for Howe up front, offering height, strength, playmaking ability and a finisher.
