The Euros is now over and done with and it looks like Liverpool are preparing to ramp up their summer transfer plans.
Arne Slot is now firmly in place and settled in as new Reds boss and he’ll be looking to make some moves in the market and strengthen the squad where he can.
Slot is already working with the players but is also awaiting the return of a number of high-profile stars, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, and Darwin Nunez.
From there, Slot is expected to make decisions on just what he wants and who he might be open to letting go.
And according to reports from over in Italy, Liverpool and Slot have made a move to sign a midfielder who shone in Serie A last season.
Liverpool make move to sign Teun Koopmeiners
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool have made a move for Atalanta star Koopmeiners as Juventus continue to mull over whether they go all out for him.
Reports have suggested that Koopmeiners would choose Juventus over Liverpool if the offer is on the table.

However, Juventus have yet to put up the £50m Atalanta want for the Dutchman and that’s left a door open for Liverpool.
It’s claimed that the Reds are ready and waiting for Koopmeiners if the deal is available and they’ve already undertaken numerous scouting missions and ‘surveys’ on the player.
Interest in Koopmeiners from the Liverpool end comes via Arne Slot as well, who is said to have personally made an approach to Koopmeiners over a move to Anfield.
As it stands, it appears the midfielder is very much looking to Juventus to come and sign him.
But as time ticks by and the window drags on, the Dutchman will get itchy feet and if a move to Anfield is there as well, he could be tempted.
Dubbed the ‘best midfielder in Europe’ for his exploits last season, Koopmeiners would give the Reds yet another option in the middle of the park now that Thiago has retired.
