A £50m-rated midfielder has reportedly alerted his club on who he wants to join this summer between Liverpool and Serie A giants Juventus.

The Reds are officially in a brand new world under Arne Slot, with the Dutch manager taking over at Anfield this summer following the departure of Jurgen Klopp at the end of last season, with the former Feyenoord coach already making an impact.

Once lauded as ‘world-class’, Koopmeiners was key for Atalanta in their incredible run to the UEFA Europa League, a journey that saw the Serie A side eliminate Liverpool in convincing fashion and hand Bayer Leverkusen their only defeat of the entire season in the final.

With interest as high as it has ever been for the Dutch international, a move to the Premier League would have been perfect for Koopmeiners, who under Slot could have taken his game to new levels on Merseyside.

However, it now appears that Juventus will be the team that wins the race for the midfielder, with Koopmeiners set on joining the Bianconeri over a move to Anfield and Liverpool this summer.
