Report: Juventus want to sign Spurs-linked Nikola Milenkovic; West Ham also keen
Spurs face a fight to sign Nikola Milenkovic this summer, with Juventus now said to be keen on adding the Fiorentina defender to their ranks.
Fiorentina reportedly value Milenkovic at around the £22m mark but he could be available for even less. Spurs have, as we covered on TBR three weeks ago, already spoken about doing a deal for Milenkovic.
Fabio Paratici is said to have held initial talks about doing a deal for the impressive defender. However, with Cristian Romero now through the door, it remains to be seen if Spurs will swoop again.
Calciomercato have now claimed that Juventus have joined the race for Milenkovic. The Italian giants are said to be keen on the 23-year-old Serbian as they look to add to their own ranks.
Juve are not quite splashing the cash like they have done in more recent transfer windows. However, they apparently see a bargain deal for Milenkovic as something that could get done.
Spurs will need to move fast, then, if they wish to bring Milenkovic in alongside Romero. The Argentinian is set to fly to England to complete his move, after Spurs agreed a £43m deal this weekend.
Time to strike again for Spurs?
The signing of Romero is a big piece of business from Paratici and Spurs, so whether Milenkovic still remains a target will be interesting.
However, now would be the time to strike for Tottenham. It’s clear that Milenkovic will be on the move, it’s just a case of where really.
With Romero now through the door – or close to being – adding Milenkovic would be a further boost for the club.
