According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina have enquired about a replacement for Nikola Milenkovic after Tottenham held talks with him.
What’s the story?
Well, a recent report from Viola News claimed that Fabio Paratici – Tottenham’s new Director of Football – was speaking to Fiorentina.
The Italian was trying to negotiate a deal for the 28-cap Serbia international, who Fiorentina value at £22m.
Interestingly, Viola News believe Spurs have now overtaken West Ham in the race for the 23-year-old, after Paratici got involved in talks.
Fiorentina have already rejected a £17m bid from the Hammers.
Despite that, it seems they are a bit worried about losing their No.4, as they make enquiries to find a replacement.
Who have Fiorentina enquired about?

The Serie A outfit have asked about Matija Nastasic, according to Di Marzio.
You might remember the centre-back from his time at Manchester City.
In truth, you could argue that Fiorentina may sign Nastasic as a potential partner for Milenkovic.
However, it is certainly interesting to hear that they’ve lodged an enquiry, just days after Tottenham leapfrogged West Ham in negotiations.
In our view, this is just what Tottenham need.

Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez failed to impress at the back last season, while Toby Alderweireld wants to leave N17.
In that respect, Nuno Espirito Santo definitely needs a new centre-back.
In Milenkovic, a young – but experienced – colossus, Spurs have identified a fine transfer target.
Paratici also knows the Italian market very well having worked at Juventus, so he must surely be convinced by the Serbian.
Hopefully, a deal will be done soon.
