Juventus are eyeing Gabriel Martinelli as they look at a potential swap deal that would see Arthur Melo finally join Arsenal this summer, according to a report from Calciomercato.
Arthur is in danger of following in the footsteps of Karim Benzema, Nabil Fekir and Houssem Aouar by being linked with the Gunners in a number of transfer windows without ever moving to the Emirates.

It does appear that Arsenal want the £61 million Brazilian. Reports in January claimed that Edu agreed a loan deal for the midfielder. However, the Arsenal hierarchy subsequently decided against giving the move the green light.
Calciomercato reports Arsenal still want Arthur. In fact, it is suggested that Mikel Arteta’s side are currently the only side who realistically may take him off Juve’s hands this summer.

But the Old Lady are seemingly concerned about the cost putting Arsenal off. And with that, they have their eye on potential swap bids.
Unsurprisingly, Calciomercato reports that Juventus want Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey.
Gabriel is a top target. Meanwhile, there has also been speculation that Partey could move to Turin.
But there is another Arsenal player on their radar. Calciomercato reports Juventus also want Martinelli.
Juventus eyeing Martinelli in Arthur swap
There have been some strange reports concerning Martinelli in recent times. There have been suggestions that he is on the verge of leaving. Atletico Madrid want him.
It would be amazing if Martinelli left Arsenal this summer. And for that reason, it is hard to see Juve having any joy if they suggest a swap involving Arthur.
Arsenal want the 25-year-old. But Martinelli is one of the most exciting prospects at the Emirates. Jürgen Klopp once described the attacker as ‘unbelievable‘.
Perhaps the situation would change if Martinelli demanded to go. But swapping the 20-year-old with Arthur would infuriate the supporters.
Juventus will surely need another plan.
