Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Torino’s Gleison Bremer in recent weeks.

Just last week, reports claimed Spurs were set for talks over the Brazilian with Torino’s sporting director.

As well as Tottenham, Davide Vagnati apparently spoke with Arsenal and Chelsea regarding the defender.

Bremer himself recently said he wants Champions League football next season, something Spurs can offer.

However, it looks as though the 25-year-old simply isn’t interested in a move to Tottenham.

Corriere dello Sport – via Sport Witness – have provided an update on the Bremer transfer saga.

Torino president Urbano Cairo is apparently ‘trying to maximise the figure’ he gets for his star.

However, Bremer apparently ‘wants Inter at all costs’.

He ‘even made it clear to Tottenham’, who are said to have ‘tried an approach’.

Therefore, Cairo ‘will have to give up at some point’ and grant Bremer the move he wants.

In terms of price tag, Inter have reportedly offered around £25.4million, while Torino want over £34m.

Tottenham seem to be closing in on Clement Lenglet, so that’s one new centre-back through the Spurs door.

Antonio Conte reportedly wants two new defenders, but it looks as though Bremer won’t be one of those.

Of course, there could always be a twist – if Torino play hardball over Inter’s offer, then Bremer may have to reconsider.
