Torino defender Gleison Bremer has said he wants to play in the Champions League next season amid transfer interest.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have all been credited with an interest in the centre-half, who looks all set to move this summer.

Spurs and the Gunners are set for talks with the Torino’s sporting director over signing him, hoping to trigger a bidding war over Bremer, who they value at €50 million (£43 million).

As per Di Marzio, Bremer has said he wants to be dining at European football’s top table next season, which is something on offer at Chelsea and Tottenham but not at Arsenal.

Bremer wants Champions League football

“Where am I going to play?” he said.

“I’m talking about it with my agent and at the moment there is nothing definite. We are talking.

“I don’t know if I’ll stay in Italy or go abroad. The only fundamental thing is to play the next Champions League and this is important to continue to grow. Everything will be defined in the coming days, in the coming weeks.

“My dream is to be called up by Brazil. In Italy, however, I have had a solid career and here there is an open possibility, let’s see.”

Bremer’s comments suggest he would rather join Tottenham than Arsenal this summer, given they can offer Champions League football.

It might be that Arsenal have more need for the defender, with Spurs seemingly closing in on Clement Lenglet to bolster their backline.

Chelsea are even more desperate for defenders, and can offer Champions League football and good wages, and it might be the case that they beat both their London rivals to Bremer, just as they look to have done with Raphinha.
