Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola would ‘sacrifice’ Gabriel Jesus if it means he can make a move for Harry Kane, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Citizens remain interested in the Tottenham Hotspur striker. Kane voiced his desire to leave Spurs last month, claiming he wants to win major trophies. Spurs are said to be demanding £150m for their star strikers.

Jesus has been attracting interest from a few European giants this summer. Barcelona and Juventus are two sides who are keen on the centre-forward. The Old Lady have put the Brazil international at the top of his transfer list.

Guardiola as previously called Jesus an ‘unsung hero‘.

Making Jesus a sacraficial lamb for Kane a worthwhile move from Manchester City

Following Sergio Aguero’s exit from the Etihad Stadium, making Jesus a sacrificial lamb for Kane would be a worthwhile move from Manchester City.

The Argetine was a talismanic figure for the Citizens. 260 goals in 390 games is incredibly difficult to replace, making Kane a key target this summer.

Jesus has been a brilliant option off the bench during his time in the northwest. However, his potency in front of goal in questionable.

Making the 24-year-old the first-choice striker would be a questionable decision from Guardiola.
