Harry Kane says reported Manchester City target is an absolutely 'fantastic' player
Harry Kane has waxed lyrical about fellow reported Manchester City target Jack Grealish.
Both the Tottenham striker and the Aston Villa forward have been linked with a summer move to the Etihad.
Grealish’s heroics have taken Villa from the Championship into the Premier League and kept them there.
According to The Athletic, the 25-year-old is keen on a move to City, with Pep Guardiola determined to sign him.
Likewise, Kane has been linked with City following yet another frustrating season with Spurs.
The England captain is one of the best strikers in the world but hasn’t lifted a single major trophy.
However, both Grealish and Kane will now turn their attention to international matters.
England are preparing to compete at Euro 2020 and will hope to improve on their fourth-placed finish at the 2018 World Cup.
“I love Jack, just love Jack as a player. Fantastic,” Kane told Gary Neville on The Overlap YouTube channel.
“From when he came in and I started training with Jack, we just had a real connection.
“He sees the game a lot how I see it in terms of how he passes, how he moves.
“Always looking forward, always rapping balls in, trusting your teammate to have the touch and be able to handle it.
“He’s a real player and one who’s going to be very special for the future.”
Kane’s earlier interview with Neville saw him speak highly of City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
This latest one will be more music to Guardiola’s ears as he hopes to bolster his ranks further this summer.
City won the Premier League and League Cup but once again fell short in the Champions League.
With Sergio Aguero no longer at the Etihad, City will need a new world class striker.
And likewise, a player like Grealish will also provide so much in terms of creativity and attacking power.
Can City target both Kane and Grealish this summer? If so, that would be brilliant.
