Richarlison sends four-word Twitter response to Everton fan predicting he'll join Tottenham soon
Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Everton star Richarlison in recent weeks.
Spurs are currently looking to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of their return to Champions League action.
And it looks as though Tottenham are fully focusing on a deal for Richarlison at present.
There have been numerous media reports suggesting Spurs are progressing in their pursuit of the Brazilian.
Fabrizio Romano has just claimed that Tottenham have already scheduled a new round of talks for Richarlison.
While personal terms are “no issue”, the deal structure has to be “discussed again” between Spurs and Everton.
Sticking with Twitter, Richarlison has just responded to an Everton fan who gave her thoughts on the player’s potential Tottenham switch.
It’s never nice to potentially lose one of your top players to another club, particularly if they’re in the same league.
However, Richarlison appeared to console the fan and her son by writing ‘stay happy my friend’.
Could Spurs seal Richarlison deal before ‘the end of Thursday’?
Football.london have just reported that Tottenham are hopeful of agreeing a fee with Everton for Richarlison within the next 24 hours in order to beat the financial fair play deadline.
‘The two clubs have been locked in talks over the structure of a deal for the 25-year-old,’ wrote Alasdair Gold.
‘And while nothing has been agreed with either Everton or the player yet, there is a hope that Spurs and the Toffees will come to an agreement on the fee for the winger before the end of Thursday due to the financial fair play deadline.’
With Tottenham able to offer Champions League football next season, it’s too big a move to turn down.
And the Toffees need to act in order to stay on the right side of FFP.
Nonetheless, Everton fans will no doubt remember Richarlison fondly if he does make the switch.
