Journalist says Levy and Kenwright had dinner together last night

Political journalist Jon Sopel has claimed on Twitter that Daniel Levy and Bill Kenwright had dinner together amid reports that Tottenham want to sign Richarlison from Everton.

Spurs are looking to sign the Brazilian. Reports claimed that Antonio Conte’s men are prepared to pay £50 million for the forward, while Everton want £65 million.

Fabio Paratici is a big fan of the 24-year-old, according to Football London. And reports last week suggested that Spurs plan to make a bid before the end of the month.

Perhaps that offer may have now been made, or has, at least, moved a step closer. Of course, much of the talk on Monday was surrounding Spurs’ interest in Anthony Gordon.

But the club remain interested in Richarlison. And it seems that the two clubs may have had the perfect opportunity to discuss a potential deal.

Sopel is not necessarily known for his football insight. However, the political journalist did provide a very interesting update which may have implications concerning Tottenham’s pursuit of the Everton players…

Levy and Kenwright had dinner together

Of course, it is hard to know just how often these kind of meetings happen. Levy and Kenwright will have known each other for a very long time. And reports noted that the two clubs have a great relationship.

There is also a chance that Kenwright had his eye on making progress on a signing for Everton. Reports have suggested that the Toffees want to sign Harry Winks.

As Sopel suggests, it may soon become clear just how productive the meeting was in the coming days.
