Everton are monitoring Cody Gakpo and could make a move if the Dutchman becomes available in the final days of the summer window, according to a report from The Sun.
Gakpo has been linked with a host of Premier League sides in recent months. Reports claimed that Arsenal had made the 23-year-old their top target.

Meanwhile, Leeds United are apparently ready to break their transfer record on the PSV Eindhoven star. And Manchester United and Nottingham Forest are also admirers of the forward.
But it is Everton who have now joined the race. The Sun reports that Toffees scout Steve Davis watched Gakpo in action against Rangers at Ibrox in midweek in their Champions League play-off tie.

It has been claimed that PSV could sell Gakpo should they miss out on making the competition. And Everton have been labelled a realistic destination for him.
Everton monitoring Cody Gakpo
The Toffees are obviously looking for a forward to replace Richarlison.
Gakpo is at his best on the left of the forward line. But he does have the ability to play through the middle too. However, it would be a potential gamble for Everton.
Reports previously claimed that PSV want at least £34 million for the youngster.
His form in the Netherlands last year suggests that he would be worth such a fee. But there have been players who have really struggled to transfer their form from the Eredivisie to the Premier League.
It would also make more sense if Everton were looking at a forward who is at his best as a central striker. They have not had Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the opening weeks of the season. And with that, only one Everton player has found the back of the net this term.
Everton have to do something before the deadline passes. And Gakpo may prove to be an unbelievable signing. He has the talent.
But surely, some Toffees fans will have questions about whether he is the right player to push the boat out for.
