Report: Club waiting for Tottenham to make concrete bid for their 'incredible' CB, he's open to Spurs move
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of centre-backs in recent weeks.
According to football.london, Spurs boss Antonio Conte wants two new central defenders this summer.
Alessandro Bastoni, Josko Gvardiol and Pau Torres are just three names on Tottenham’s radar.
Another reported target is Torino’s Gleison Bremer, a player once deemed ‘the strongest defender in Europe’.
7 Pre-Arranged Summer Transfers (2022)
Italian outlet Torino Granata has now provided an update on the state of play between Spurs and Bremer.
Sadly for Tottenham fans, the article pours cold water on suggestions Spurs have made a bid for the 25-year-old.
TG – via Sport Witness – claims Bremer will certainly leave Torino this summer.
And clubs from England and Italy have reportedly approached him over a move.
However, there is ‘still no negotiation’ from Spurs – or any other suitors – to sign Bremer.
They dismiss the suggestion there has been a ‘concrete offer’, and Torino are still ‘waiting’ for such a bid.
Bremer is reportedly willing to join Tottenham, but he’s equally open to Juventus, Inter, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
The outlet also claims the Brazilian wants Champions League football, a pre-requisite Spurs can meet.
For Bremer to move, though, any interested club will have to find an agreement with Torino.
The player can then make his choice.
Tottenham can’t be hesitating over Bremer – TBR View
Admittedly, Spurs have been very busy in the transfer market.
They may not have had the chance to firm up their interest in Bremer as they’ve got to many plates spinning.
Nonetheless, with so many top clubs reportedly in pursuit, this is an avenue they shouldn’t hesitate too long over.
Bremer is arguably one of the most exciting centre-backs playing in Europe right now.
He is both strong and deceptively quick, and has been described as ‘incredible‘.
And at 25, he should have the best years of his career in front of him.
