Napoli want to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham Hotspur as they look to improve their midfield options.
A report by Italian journalist Di Marzio claims that Napoli are preparing to replace Fabian Luiz, who has agreed to sign for Paris Saint-Germain.
Ruiz has been linked with England and was reportedly the subject of a £42 million January bid from Newcastle, but is now joining the French champions.
And Ndombele is among the names on the shortlist to replace him as he seeks pastures new having fallen out of favour at Spurs.

Napoli want Ndombele
It has also been reported that another Tottenham player looking for a new start, in the shape of Gio Lo Celso, is keen on a move to Napoli.
They have not bid for Lo Celso or Ndombele yet, and it is perhaps doubtful that they would sign both in the same transfer window.
That means it could be one or the other, as Antonio Conte continues trying to get rid of the duo who were not taken on the pre-season tour of South Korea.

It has also been reported that Italian champions AC Milan are looking at signing Ndombele, which could spark a Serie A bidding war.
Tottenham would hope to generate a bit of interest in the Frenchman who has shown signs of brilliance in England but not often enough.
He was recently labelled by Declan Rice as being an ‘incredible’ talent, but a move away suits all parties.
