Chelsea do not want N’Golo Kante to join Arsenal or Tottenham, with 90min reporting that the links with both clubs will be a factor in talks over his future at Stamford Bridge.
Kante is out of contract at the end of the season. Chelsea are open to keeping the Frenchman. However, they are hesitating over meeting his wage demands given his age and injury issues.

There is interest from elsewhere. Foot Mercato recently reported that he had been offered to both Arsenal and Spurs as he is keen to remain in London should he leave.

Calciomercato then claimed this week that Tottenham and the Gunners are admirers of the 31-year-old. Antonio Conte, in particular, is a big fan of the midfielder.

And it seems that Chelsea are keeping those links in mind. 90min reports that the Blues do not want to lose Kante if he is going to join Spurs or Arsenal. And thus, the interest will be taken into consideration when Chelsea hold talks about a new deal for the former Leicester man.
Chelsea’s stance helps highlight what a potential coup it could be for either Tottenham or Arsenal to sign Kante.
He is not the same player who won back-to-back league titles, and then the World Cup. And he has had some injury problems in more recent times.
But he was one of the world’s best midfielders for a long time. Conte himself, previously labelled him ‘amazing‘ having been in charge when he joined Chelsea.
He is certainly a player who gives absolutely everything when he is out on the pitch. But it is still a risk to make a move.
Even on a free transfer, he will not come cheap – you would imagine. And the amount of interest in him may drive those fees up further.
