Aston Villa are interested in signing Weston McKennie this month, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that Juventus are not planning to bring in another midfielder even if the USMNT international leaves.
The Villans are enjoying a turnaround under Unai Emery, with their latest performance seeing them beat Tottenham 2-0 in North London at the weekend.

And it seems that they are planning to strengthen further in the January transfer window. In fact, Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Villans are monitoring McKennie.
Aston Villa monitoring McKennie
McKennie has had an up and down time with the Old Lady. But when he has been in form, he has been absolutely superb. And he impressed for the US during their run to the knockout stages of the World Cup before the turn of the year.

Interestingly, it would appear that Juve would have no problem letting the 24-year-old go.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Massimiliano Allegri’s men have no plans to dip into the market to strengthen in midfield, even if McKennie does end up leaving.
That would suggest that Juventus are very much open to letting him go. And that is only good news for Villa.
Previous reports from Calciomercato have suggested that Juventus want around £26 million for the American. But that could prove to be an absolute bargain.
He has been described as an ‘extraordinary‘ talent. And he clearly has the ability to kick on and impress in the Premier League.
He is coming into what could be the peak years of his career. And if Villa do not end up bringing him in, then there may well be rival interest from elsewhere in England.
Tottenham director Fabio Paratici reportedly loves McKennie. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have reportedly made an approach.
Perhaps that interest has tempted Villa to look at potentially acting quickly.
