Four Arsenal youngsters have been called up into first team training ahead of the Europa League clash with Bodo/Glimt.

Khayon Edwards, Bradley Ibrahim, Catalin Cirjan and Matt Smith were all involved in the session before the trip to Norway, as per Arsenal Youth.

Gabriel Jesus missed the session, but is expected to be passed fit to make the trip for the third Europa League tie of the season.

Oleksandr Zinchenko was also absent and looks set to be a bigger doubt for the match, which could open up a space in the squad.

19-year-old Edwards has not long come back from injury and has been compared to Bukayo Saka after signing his first professional contract during the summer.

The forward might have had more chance of travelling if Jesus was not fit to play, but the teenager will still be looking to be involved.

Ibrahim was training with the first team before the Liverpool game, and has been praised for his goal threat and dynamism from midfield.

Smith has also trained with the seniors more than once this season and his quality has earned him comparisons with former Gunners playmaker Mesut Ozil.

Cirjan was also with Arteta’s men last month, and the Gunners have high hopes for the teenager despite his injury problems.

It will be interesting to see if any of the young talents make the trip as Arsenal look to continue their 100 per cent Europa League record this season.
