Report: Catalin Cirjan remains very highly-rated at Arsenal
Catalin Cirjan remains very highly-rated at Arsenal after the youngster made his long-awaited return to action after more than a year out due to injury, according to a report from Football London.
If anyone in the Arsenal ranks deserves a break, it is surely the Romanian. The 19-year-old became something of a forgotten man after he went 480 days without making an appearance after sustaining a serious knee injury.
But the positive news is that he is now back playing. And he will surely have his sights set on getting his development back on track.
Arsenal made a statement earlier this year by handing Cirjan a new contract while he was still awaiting the chance to make his return to action.
So it should probably come as no surprise that it seems that the Gunners do not see the teenager struggling to catch up after such a long time away.
According to Football London, Cirjan remains very highly-rated at the Emirates. And the hopes for his future remain extremely high.

It will be very interesting to see what the coming months hold for the youngster. Obviously, his focus will likely be on getting game-time and enjoying being injury-free.
Arsenal have a number of outstanding under-21 prospects coming through and knocking on Arteta’s door. And being in that environment should certainly help Cirjan.
The Gunners also have a Europa League campaign to look forward to this year. That may present Arteta with a fantastic opportunity to integrate some of the prospects into the first-team fold.
It would be fantastic for Cirjan if he ended up making that first-team debut for Arsenal at some stage in the coming months.
