90 Min reports that Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram in recent weeks – and he’s reportedly getting sold in January.

Mikel Arteta has a brilliant front-three of Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli at his disposal. But the Gunners are lacking quality depth across the frontline.

Arsenal will now be in the market for attacking reinforcements after missing out on Raphinha to Barcelona over the summer. And it seems they have turned their attention to Thuram – a striker who has already netted 10 goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances this season.

The ‘phenomenal’ forward has enjoyed a real coming of age season so far and has already equalled his highest goal tally in Germany during a single campaign.

The 25-year-old has been selected to represent France at the World Cup in Qatar and it seems that Arsenal scouts have already been watching him in recent weeks.

Arsenal send scouts to watch Thuram

90 Min reports that a host of Premier League clubs have been watching Thuram in recent weeks – including Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham.

Clubs are circling after his brilliant start to the season and the fact that his contract runs until the end of this season.

Journalist Nico Schira claimed yesterday that Monchengladbach are willing to allow Thuram to leave for around just £8 million.

The German club are keen to earn a small fee rather than allowing their talisman to leave for free next summer.

TBR View: Thuram would be an excellent addition for Arsenal

Thuram has been in devastating form for Gladbach this season and looks set to get a chance at the World Cup after Karim Benzema’s injury.

Arteta is lacking quality depth across the frontline and Thuram has shown he can play in all three roles.

Arsenal’s front-three have performed brilliantly this season but if they are to maintain a push for the Premier League title, they’ll need to add depth in January.
