Arsenal have reopened talks with Real Madrid over a permanent move for Martin Odegaard, according to a report from 90min.
The Gunners are still searching for a signing for that number 10 role. They have been heavily linked with James Maddison recently.

But Odegaard’s future has become a talking point once again. The Norwegian was initially left on the bench for Real Madrid’s pre-season friendly with AC Milan at the weekend – despite Toni Kroos’s absence.
He was reportedly left baffled by Carlo Ancelotti’s decision. And it appears that it may have prompted Arsenal to act.
According to 90min, talks between the two clubs have reopened. And Arsenal believe that they can get a deal done.

It was recently reported that the Gunners had offered Odegaard a deal worth £115,000-a-week – a significant increase on what he earns at the Bernabeu.
So Odegaard will surely be tempted by the chance to return to the Emirates.
Interestingly, 90min adds that Philippe Coutinho also remains of significant interest to Arsenal.
Arsenal would make huge statement by signing Martin Odegaard permanently as talks begin
It does appear that Arsenal fans are somewhat divided over which number 10 they would like signed.
Maddison is more proven in the Premier League. Coutinho may not cost a lot given Barcelona’s financial issues and his struggles in Catalonia.
But Odegaard has long been considered one of Europe’s most exciting talents. And it would appear that he is a player Real Madrid would be happy to keep.
So a deal would be a huge statement.
Arsenal have done reasonably well this summer. But the hope is that there is a lot more to come.
Signing Odegaard would please a lot of fans. He did do well last season.
And it seems that a deal may have now moved a step closer.
