Arsenal believe there is a deal to be done amid reports that they are keen to sign James Maddison in the transfer window, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The Gunners are looking to bounce back from a really disappointing campaign. Mikel Arteta meanwhile, will be hoping to prove that he is, indeed, the right man to take them forward.

And it appears that the club are prepared to back the Spaniard in the market. It was recently claimed by Football London that Arteta would love to sign Maddison from Leicester.
Of course, some may have their doubts about the chances of a deal.
As noted by the Daily Mail, the Foxes rejected a £70 million bid for Maddison from a club last summer.

And of course, Brendan Rodgers’s men can offer the 24-year-old European football next season. He was also part of the side that lifted the FA Cup last term.
Nevertheless, Arsenal are seemingly not pessimistic about their chances.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners believe that there is a deal to be done for the £100,000-a-week star.
Arsenal landing Maddison in transfer window would be huge statement
Given the figures involved, there is no doubt that signing Maddison would be huge for Arsenal, particularly with Martin Odegaard returning after a loan spell in North London.
Maddison scored eight league goals and provided five assists in just 31 Premier League appearances last season. He only made 24 starts. And he scored 11 times in all competitions.
According to the Mail, his contract has three years left to run. So the Foxes find themselves in an incredibly strong position.
They have no reason to try and reach a compromise with Arsenal.
So the Gunners are surely going to have to be prepared to go big.
Interestingly, the latest reports suggests they believe that they may be able to.
