According to a report from The Sun, Arsenal are among a number of clubs interested in signing Crystal Palace youngster Michael Olise in the summer.
The 20-year-old only joined the Eagles last summer from Reading. Patrick Vieira’s side paid just £8 million (BBC) for him and everybody knew at the time that Palace pulled off a fantastic deal.
Just over seven months later now, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Lille and Bayern Munich are all reportedly interested in his services and he could well be one of the most sought-out players in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal, who already have the youngest team in the Premier League, are now keen to sign another talented youngster in Olise.
Arsenal eye move for Michael Olise
Arsenal have Bukayo Saka as their undisputed first-choice starter on the right flank, the position where Olise has played the most this season.
The Crystal Palace youngster, labelled as a ‘special talent‘ by Vieira’, has scored four goals and has provided six assists in all competitions so far this season. He has been a joy to watch and it is no surprise that he’s the type of player that the Gunners want in their side.
Nicolas Pepe has barely played over the last two months and it won’t be a surprise at all to see him leave the Emirates at the end of this campaign. That would open the door for a new right-winger and Arsenal fans would surely love a player as brilliant as Olise in their squad.

Arteta could’ve signed him for just £8m
Back in October 2020, when Olise was still at Reading, The Daily Mail revealed that Arsenal were keen to sign the exciting youngster.
Those rumours carried on into 2021 and Arsenal could’ve either signed him in January or in the summer. However, the Gunners decides to explore other options and up stepped Crystal Palace.
The Eagles sealed a deal for just £8 million in what is already looking like the bargain of the season. If Arsenal really want him in the summer transfer window, they will have to pay three or four times that figure, which makes missing out on him last year look really silly.
