Report: Arsenal could sell Gabriel Magalhaes; warming to idea of deal
Arsenal could sell Gabriel Magalhaes this summer, with Tuttosport in Italy reporting that the Gunners are warming to the idea of letting him leave in the upcoming window.
Gabriel has been a huge player for Arsenal this season. His partnership with Ben White has been vital in leading the Gunners to pole position for the top-four spot in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, he has been heavily linked with a move away. Reports claimed that Barcelona want the Brazilian this summer. And it was suggested that he would not hesitate to make the move if offered the chance.
However, Fabrizio Romano then provided a different view. The journalist suggested that Gabriel has no interest in leaving Arsenal.
But perhaps the club may think differently. Tuttosport reports that Juventus want Gabriel. They view the 24-year-old as an alternative target to Fiorentina star Nikola Milenkovic.
And surprisingly, the report adds that Arsenal are warming to the idea of selling Gabriel this summer. That is according to British sources.
Arsenal could sell Gabriel Magalhaes
It would be a surprise if Arsenal sold Gabriel. Certainly, you would imagine that they would want a huge fee before they even considered letting him go in the coming months.
He has been an outstanding signing at £27 million. And he is continuing to develop, particularly alongside White. They could be the partnership that potentially anchors the Arsenal defence for years to come.
Mikel Arteta has previously said that he has an ‘incredible‘ future ahead. So you would imagine that he would be desperate for him to stick around.
It is hard to see Arsenal being able to find an upgrade for the sort of fee they would receive for Gabriel if they cashed in.
