Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will have to pay at least £84 million if they hope to sign Victor Osimhen this summer, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Osimhen has impressed for Napoli, with 11 goals in 20 Serie A games this season. Meanwhile, he has four in five in the Europa League.

The Nigeria international has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs. Reports have claimed that Arsenal and Tottenham both want the 23-year-old, who signed for a club-record deal when he arrived from Lille.

Gazzetta dello Sport is now suggesting that the Premier League clubs are crazy about Osimhen. Newcastle and Manchester United are also monitoring the forward.

Interestingly, the report claims that Napoli want €100 million for Osimhen. Obviously, that would make him the most expensive signing for Arsenal or Tottenham if he ended up in North London this summer.

Obviously, there is some risk attached to trying to sign Osimhen for around £84 million. He arrived after only 38 appearances for Lille. But he has gone on to score 25 goals and contribute seven assists in 55 games for Napoli.

That record is extremely impressive when you consider that he signed for around £67.5 million as a 21-year-old.

That suggests that he would be up to the challenge of leading the line for Arsenal or Tottenham if they parted with £84 million. Obviously, it is much harder to see Antonio Conte’s men moving for him if Harry Kane stays.

The Premier League sides may not be surprised to see Napoli get ready to dig their heels in. He is a ‘phenomenal‘ talent. And he looks to have an incredible career ahead.
