Arsenal may have to see off competition from Real Madrid if they hope to sign Ben White, with Defensa Central reporting that Carlo Ancelotti has made the defender a potential target.
The Gunners’ summer window looks to be kicking into full gear. They are reportedly in talks to sign Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Meanwhile, they have also been linked with Aaron Ramsdale this week. But perhaps the biggest statement of intent came in their pursuit of White.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal have had a £40 million bid for the Brighton star rejected.
However, that report suggested that talks are expected to continue.

But Arsenal’s hopes may have been dealt a further blow after seeing their offer knocked back.
According to Defensa Central, Ancelotti is a fan of White. And he has added the 23-year-old to Los Blancos’ wishlist.
They do suggest that his asking price may prove a problem for Real.
Real Madrid interest and £40 million bid should prompt Arsenal to snap up Ben White as soon as possible
Arsenal have made a huge statement of intent by making a £40 million bid for White. They clearly view the England international as a key target.
Based on previous reports, they are just £10 million off his asking price.
Obviously, that is a lot of money. But given that they are prepared to pay so much already, surely they will not want to miss out.
And with Real now reportedly eyeing the defender, Arsenal must now step up their interest.
As noted by Defensa Central, Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester United are all admirers of White.
Arsenal can send out a major message by shutting the door on all of their hopes of signing the defender.
They have seemingly come so far with a £40 million bid. Missing out now would be a big disappointment.
