Antonio Conte may already have one eye on Tottenham Hotspur’s January transfer activity as the World Cup break approaches.

Spurs have had some back luck with injuries recently that have highlighted some weak points in their squad.

In an interview with the Telegraph, a player Tottenham once had a chance to add to their squad has spoken about his time at the club.

A report from Football London has suggested that Spurs are looking for ‘quality’ cover for Dejan Kulusevski.

The Swedish winger has been out for over a month with a thigh issue.

Tottenham are likely to let Bryan Gil and Japhet Tanganga leave in January as well if new players arrive at the club.

One player who could be at Tottenham right now is Andreas Schjelderup.

The 18-year-old forward currently plies his trade in Denmark with FC Nordsjaelland.

Schjelderup has confirmed in his interview with The Telegraph that he previously had trials at Tottenham and Liverpool.

However, he decided to leave his native Norway for Denmark instead.

Schjelderup previously had Tottenham trial

The young attacker has spoken about how lucky he was to be invited to be invited to some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

“I have been privileged at a young age to have trials at big clubs, also in Holland with PSV and England with Liverpool and Tottenham,” Schjelderup said.

“To have that experience at a young age is something I learned a lot from, a big club like that and all the players at a very high level and not like Norway where you’re the best of your age level.”

Players Schelderup’s age very rarely get an opportunity to play in the Premier League.

In fact, Conte’s only given 47 minutes of football to players under the age of 22 this season.

Meanwhile, Schjelderup has thrived being thrown into a first-team environment at such a young age.

He’s currently the top scorer in the Danish Superliga, with nine goals in 15 appearances.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked with moves for Schjelderup recently.

Tottenham will be hoping they don’t rue not signing Schjelderup after his trial all those years ago.
