And it does now feel as if the club are perfectly poised to win trophies either this season or next.

Moreover, to that point, the common view around Arteta at Arsenal is that it would be a huge mistake to leave the club for the tumultuous situation at Barcelona right now.

That’s not to say the manager won’t experience pressure in North London, but he has already built a solid foundation to fall back on.

And perhaps if Arsenal did add one or two superstars in the summer, they could even push for a Champions League title in the coming years.
