Celtic have a squad full of depth at the moment. With over 30 first-team players at hand, Brendan Rodgers has a multitude of players at his disposal to choose from.
However, quantity does not always mean there is quality and Rodgers has recognised that of late with reports suggesting that many of the players he recruited in the summer could be set to leave in January.
But there is one player that has seriously impressed Pat Nevin. The BBC pundit was speaking about Hyunjun Yang after Celtic’s win over Livingston and admits that he has been blown away with the South Korean’s skill on the ball.
Nevin said [BBC Radio Scotland], “I look at Yang and honestly, see the skills in that lad? He’s only 21, he doesn’t look it, but he’s only 21.
“And it may well be that some of these lads that they’ve brought in may take a wee while just to get used to A) a new culture and B) a new style of football as well.”
Now. I’m not sure what player Nevin was watching yesterday as he never really contributed after coming on as a second-half substitute.

In the 19 minutes he was on the pitch, the £2m summer signing created just one chance, never managed to dribble past his opponent and didn’t have any shots on target.
The South Korean also never managed to make any crosses during that time either. [Fotmob]
In the interests of balance however, Yang has impressed against St Mirren and Rodgers says the youngster is also catching the eye in training so it’s clear he has got something about him.
He just needs to be more consistent. Whether Yang has a future at Celtic is anyone’s guess. He has the talent to be a success but does he have the mindset?
