Bukayo Saka wasn’t the only Arsenal player who picked up an injury last night, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Takehiro Tomiyasu ‘felt something’ too.
The Gunners had a comfortable evening at the Emirates in the Champions League. Sevilla were no match for them, and thanks to goals from Leandro Trossard and Saka, they sealed the win. Saka’s knock is a big worry, as is Tomiyasu’s injury.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta suggests Takehiro Tomiyasu got injured vs Sevilla
Mikel Arteta‘s Arsenal have a number of injury issues to deal with already, and Bukayo Saka and Takehiro Tomiyasu may have joined their long list last night.
The Gunners were already without Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe, Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber yesterday.
Arsenal still managed to dominate Sevilla and pick up the win, but that may have come at a cost – there are now problems for two of their players.
Saka hobbled off the pitch in the second half after appearing to have hurt his ankle. Much before that, Tomiyasu ‘felt something’ which forced Arsenal to withdraw him at half-time.
Speaking about the reason behind the Japan international’s substitution, Arteta said, as per Arsenal.com: “Yeah, he had some discomfort in the first half and we didn’t want to take any risks.
“He has played a lot of minutes and obviously having Alex [Zinchenko] on the bench ready to come in, I think it was the right decision.”

Arsenal can’t afford more injuries
Arsenal have had terrible luck with injuries so far this season.
The Gunners have barely had the chance to start their first-choice attack, with Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka all missing games through injuries at one point or another.
Jesus is still out with a hamstring issue, which is a big blow. Arsenal fans will now be praying that it is just a small knock for Saka and he will be back fit for the game on Saturday.
Tomiyasu, who has been brilliant recently, has had his fair share of injury issues over the last years as well, so to see him not come out for the second half is a concern. Hopefully, it was only a precaution and he will be fit for Burnley this weekend.
