Arsenal star Thomas Partey will be given the next few months to save his Gunners career.

The Ghana international has had a terrible time with injuries. He has barely played this season, but Partey is now expected to return to the squad when Arsenal take on Sheffield United on Monday. He will have to prove a point then.

Thomas Partey to be given one final chance to save his Arsenal career

Arsenal signed Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid back in 2020.

The Ghana international was viewed by many as the man who would finally replace Patrick Vieira at Arsenal, but things haven’t quite worked out.

Don’t get us wrong, Partey has been unbelievable for Arsenal when he has played. There aren’t many better midfielders in the world when he’s fully fit, but injuries have really hurt him.

Partey has played just four times in the Premier League all season. He had a setback on his injury recently as well, but he’s now back to full training and is ready to go.

Football Transfers now claim that Arsenal are prepared to give Partey a final chance to prove himself.

If he can stay fit from now until the end of the season and perform at his highest level, it has been claimed that the Gunners would be willing to discuss a new contract.

However, if he gets injured again, that would all but end his Arsenal career.

New Arsenal contract for Thomas Partey would be risky

When Thomas Partey is fit and starts for Arsenal, the Gunners are a much more solid team than they are without him.

The Ghanaian, who has been branded as ‘underrated‘ by Oleksandr Zinchenko (FIVE), is one of the best midfielders in Europe, and he showed that for large parts of last season.

This campaign, sadly, has been a disappointing one for Partey. He has missed most of it, and even if he performs brilliantly in the next few months, we think he should be moved on.

Partey will turn 31 in the summer, and it’s unlikely he will be injury-free considering most of his problems have been muscle-related.

He’s on huge wages as well, so handing him a new deal beyond the end of his current contract in 2025 would, in our opinion, be a very risky move.
