Liverpool have long been linked with a move for PSG and France superstar Kylian Mbappe, but those links might be as far as it goes.
While Mbappe has been mentioned in the same breath of Liverpool for a number of seasons now, a move has always seemed unlikely due to the financial implications involved. Indeed, Gary Neville dismissed the idea just this week as he learnt of the potential interest from the Reds.
And writing in his weekly column for The Independent, Miguel Delaney has claimed that there is absolutely no chance that Mbappe is moving on in January, although the summer might well be a different story.

Liverpool are also thought to be more interesting in bringing in Jude Bellingham over the next transfer windows, so their focus might not be on what looks an unrealistic deal for Mbappe anyway. Journalist Ben Jacobs said yesterday that the Mbappe saga might actually play into Liverpool’s hands with Bellingham, thanks to Real Madrid’s interest.
Mbappe has been in the news once more this week as he apparently kicks up yet another fuss at PSG. Since signing a huge new contract in the summer, the French superstar has repeatedly had run-ins with the club.
TBR’s View: Mbappe A Star But Trouble For Liverpool
Can you imagine the Anfield crowd if Mbappe had spoken about and kicked up a stink about Liverpool like he has done with PSG? There’d be little room for sympathy and in a way, it might ruin a lot of what Liverpool are about.
The signing of Bellingham is the one Liverpool need to get done. He is a top talent and seems, on the surface, to be a player who gets his head down and cracks on.
So while Mbappe might be the talent every club craves, the attitude that comes with it might not be what Liverpool or Klopp wants.
