'Come to us': Jose Enrique has just taken to Instagram to encourage 'ridiculous' Arsenal man to join Liverpool
Bukayo Saka is the next priority for Arsenal it seems after the club moved to offer him a new contract this week.
The Gunners have had another frantic summer in the transfer market but with a deal for Oleksandr Zinchenko wrapped up this week, attention now seems to have shifted to those players on the books already.
Of course, one of those key players is Saka. And worryingly for Arsenal, the winger only has two years to run on his current deal at The Emirates. Saka is said to be happy enough at Arsenal, but other clubs – naturally – are keeping an eye on his situation in North London.
One of those clubs could be Liverpool. They’ve been linked with a move for Saka before, and former left-back, Jose Enrique, has dropped a cheeky comment on Saka’s contractual situation over on his Instagram page tonight.
Enrique has become something of a cheerleader for Liverpool ever since stepping away from the club.
Clearly, the left-back is still a big fan of the club and how he refers to Liverpool as ‘us’ suggests he is all in on Jurgen Klopp’s outfit. Whether or not Saka listens to him, though, remains another matter entirely.
TBR’s View: Saka Would Be Frightening At Liverpool
In two years time Liverpool are likely to be looking for a new winger anyway as Mo Salah continues to get older and players like Firmino and co move on.
Of course, Enrique is a bit wide of the mark with his comment on Saka joining for free next season. However, there is a chance the Reds make a move in the market for him if he hasn’t agreed that bumper new deal.
The ‘ridiculous’ Saka would be brilliant at Liverpool, and Arsenal fans will be mindful of this lingering on too long.
