Liverpool slumped to a sixth defeat in seven against Crystal Palace, and Jamie Redknapp thinks Arne Slot’s actions could have a negative impact on his players.
Despite being on a torrid run of form, there has been no suggestion that Slot’s job is under pressure.
Liverpool lost to Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening, and supporters were angry about the team selection.
However, former player Jamie Redknapp thinks something else the Dutchman has been doing this season will cause issues for the Reds’ players.

Jamie Redknapp wants Arne Slot to stop being negative
Speaking to Sky Sports after the Palace loss, Redknapp bemoaned the number of excuses Slot has been making this season and highlighted how it will affect the players.
He said: “Honesty is a great thing. Really good to be honest, come out and talk about how the team’s doing.
“But I think right now, talking about we can’t play against a team who play a low block against us, we can’t defend against set pieces. That will transmit to the players.
“You are then giving them [Liverpool players] a massive out and I think that doesn’t really, for me, is not a great idea right now.”
Slot’s excuses for Liverpool’s woes continued post-Palace, and fans have grown tired.
Liverpool fans tired of Arne Slot excuses
The manager suggested his squad wasn’t as good as Chelsea’s and Manchester City’s, who both won on Wednesday evening when resting key players.
However, the constant excuses have seen fans begin to turn on Slot this week.
One fan wrote: “Slot’s excuses are getting horrid mate,” with a second agreeing: “Yes just needs to stop saying things in press.”
A third tweeted: “It’s got to the point I can’t listen to Slot at the moment in press conferences his reasons and excuses are embarrassing again I’m not Slot out here btw but I’m Slot ——- sober up and fix this, no excuses you’ve spent a wad of cash.”
“I have never seen a manager who refuses to take the blame for his team’s loss like Arne slot. Always looking for excuses to justify why Liverpool lost,” claimed another.
