Jamie O’Hara ‘disappointed’ at what Sir Jim Ratcliffe has done now at Man Utd

Sir Jim Ratcliffe made some revealing comments when speaking to The Business Times about Manchester United earlier this week.

The CEO of INEOS said Ruben Amorim will get to see out his contract – which runs until July 2027 – citing how long it took Mikel Arteta to rebuild Arsenal as reason for this patient approach.

However, these comments have irked Jamie O’Hara – who expressed his frustration over constant leaks coming from Manchester United when speaking on talkSPORT.

Jamie O’Hara tells Sir Jim Ratcliffe to quiet down

The man who made 93 Premier League appearances feels the 72-year-old is too much of a blabbermouth at Old Trafford.

O’Hara said: “I’m disappointed in Ratcliffe because he just keeps putting the club under scrutiny when they don’t need it. Keep things in-house, you know?

“Everything just seems to get leaked out of Man United these days, and sometimes you should just go quiet – go about your business, do your job, get some results, and just run the football club behind closed doors.”

The Englishman – who has control over sporting operations at Manchester United – is always going to be asked questions about the Red Devils amid a dismal period for the club, but O’Hara is right.

Ratcliffe does not always need to spill the beans on inside developments, and it would certainly create an easier working environment for Amorim if his boss engaged in a period of silence.

Potential replacements for Ruben Amorim if Portuguese tactician fails to turn Manchester United around

We admire the fact Ratcliffe plans to give Amorim time, but after finishing 15th in the Premier League last season, there are understandably some names emerging as possible replacements – for the summer of 2027 or even before.

Manchester United admire Oliver Glasner after his stunning efforts at Crystal Palace, guiding the Eagles to an FA Cup and Community Shield double over the summer.

Andoni Iraola has also been linked as the Spaniard shines at Bournemouth – while Manchester United are aware of Xavi too.

Ratcliffe clearly has intentions of giving Amorim until July 2027, but if the situation at Manchester United becomes too bleak before that date, one of the aforementioned names could well take over.
