Jamie Carragher has given his verdict on Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz.
The former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit does not think that Havertz has done well for Arsenal so far this season.
So, what has Jamie Carragher said about Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz? Let’s take a look.
Jamie Carragher not impressed with Kai Havertz
Well, Jamie Carragher has been speaking about Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz.
The former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit has not been impressed by the Germany international at all.
The pundit has said that no one is sure where Havertz, who joined Arsenal from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2023, plays in the current Arsenal team.
Carragher said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:25 pm, January 1, 2024): “I also think there has been a little bit of problem in midfield. Havertz has come in. For me, it hasn’t worked because again at Chelsea, like we are now seeing at Arsenal, you are not quite sure where he plays.”
My View: Keep faith in Kai Havertz
In my view, Arsenal fans have to keep faith in Kai Havertz. I do not think that anyone should write off the 24-year-old just yet.
After all, Havertz has not been at the North London club for even a year. He is a very good player.

Yes, Havertz does need to find a concrete position for himself in the Arsenal team, but I believe that it will happen for him at some point.
Manager Mikel Arteta has deployed him in a number of positions. Havertz has played on the left of a midfield-three, in the centre of a midfield-three and as a centre-forward.
Havertz also played as a left-back for Germany this season. It does not help any player if he is used in several positions.
I believe that the Germany international is at his best when played as a number 10. The problem is that Martin Odegaard is the playmaker-in-chief for Arsenal. I do not think that it is going to change anytime soon.
Havertz has made 13 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season. The Germany international has scored four goals and given one assist in those games.
The former Chelsea player has scored one goal in five starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for Arsenal this season.
