Jack Wilshere sends nine-word Instagram message to Arsenal player after terrible news yesterday
Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere took to Instagram to send an emotional message to Kieran Tierney after it was confirmed yesterday that he has suffered a terrible injury.
The Scotsman has had a torrid time with injuries ever since he joined Arsenal. He came in with a problem that delayed his debut by quite a few months and soon after he got going, he suffered a horrible shoulder injury that kept him out for a while.
Since joining Arsenal, Tierney has missed a total of 38 games in all competitions. That’s really unlucky and it sadly looks like the ex-Celtic man will miss many more this season and possibly a few at the start of the next campaign as well.
Arsenal confirmed yesterday that Tierney will have surgery on his knee this week and he’ll likely be out for the rest of this season.
Jack Wilshere sends message to Arsenal star Kieran Tierney after his injury
If there’s one player who knows the frustration of constant injuries, it’s Wilshere.
The Englishman was undoubtedly one of the most talented players in his country and he had the ability to become truly world-class. However, injuries just ruined his career at the top level.
Wilshere, who knows exactly what Tierney must be going through now, sent him a brilliant message on Instagram yesterday.
“Come back stronger mate. You know where I am,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories followed by a telephone emoji, suggesting that he’s always around to have a chat if needed.
Tierney’s injury is a massive blow for Arsenal ahead of the business end of their season. They really missed the Scotsman in the game against Crystal Palace and that was one of the biggest reasons why they conceded twice in the first half.
Mikel Arteta has a difficult decision to make with respect to who starts at left-back in the coming days.
Nuno Tavares is the natural option but the Portuguese under-21 international’s confidence seems to be shattered after getting substituted after 35 minutes and 45 minutes respectively in his last two starts. Granit Xhaka is another option, but Arsenal simply can’t move him out of midfield if Thomas Partey is out for while as well.
It’s a tough decision for Arteta to make but it’s one he has to get right if Arsenal are to finish in the top four.
