Tony Cascarino has told TalkSPORT that he thinks Jude Bellingham will be simply too expensive for Liverpool after his World Cup displays.
Liverpool have been linked to a host of midfielders ahead of the January transfer window as Jurgen Klopp looks set to add a fresh face to his options in the middle of the park.
Of course, The Reds hold a long-standing interest in Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham. Christian Falk claimed earlier this week that Klopp’s men are favourites to land the 19-year-old.
Bellingham shone for England at the World Cup before they were knocked out by France last night. The youngster put in some dazzling displays from midfield and announced himself on the biggest stage.
While his displays were certainly a positive for England, Cascarino feels it could be bad news for Liverpool’s pursuit of the player.

Cascarino on Bellingham
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Cascarino heaped praise on Bellingham for his performances in Qatar.
But he thinks Dortmund will now demand a huge fee for the England star that could be out of Liverpool’s price range.
“He’s had a terrific tournament. He’s become the talk [of it]. I’ve hated it because I’m thinking Liverpool can’t buy him now because no one is going to be able to buy him. He’s going to go into that bracket of too expensive,” he said.
Bellingham was already seen as one of the brightest prospects in the world before his ‘incredible’ displays in Qatar.
But now he has performed excellently for England in the biggest tournament in football, Dortmund will be well within their rights to demand a little bit more for him.
He was rated at around £130 million heading into the World Cup and that could now be set to go up even further.

Liverpool are unlikely to be able to afford paying huge amounts of money for Bellingham, especially with the uncertainty surrounding the current owners.
But German outlet BILD reports that Bellingham has informed Dortmund that he wants to make the switch to Anfield.
Liverpool fans will be hoping that his apparent desire to move to Merseyside will be enough to seal a move, with the likes of Manchester City also said to be interested.
