Report: Jude Bellingham will tell Borussia Dortmund that he wants to join Liverpool
According to German outlet BILD, Jude Bellingham has decided he wants to join Liverpool in 2023.
The young Englishman, branded as a player with ‘frightening’ talent by Jack Grealish, is one of the hottest properties in world football at the moment. He has been sensational for Borussia Dortmund and England, and a number of top clubs across Europe are very keen to sign him.
However, it looks like Liverpool are in the driving seat.
Jude Bellingham will tell Borussia Dortmund that he wants to join Liverpool after the World Cup
Bellingham’s focus is on England and the World Cup at the moment, and he has been one of the Three Lions’ best players so far in Qatar.
His stock has definitely gone up following his performances, and multiple clubs are planning a move to sign him now.
However, if the report from the German outlet – as relayed by SportWitness – is to be believed, all the sides other than Liverpool look set to be disappointed.
It has been claimed that Bellingham has decided that he wants to join Liverpool and will inform Borussia Dortmund of his decision right after he returns to Germany after the World Cup.
Bellingham’s parents and his advisor, Mark Bennett, have reportedly even told Real Madrid that the Reds are ‘‘very far along’ in the race to sign him. The youngster’s father also believes that Liverpool are the ‘right step’ for his son.
The report claims that Borussia Dortmund have made it clear to suitors that they want £130 million (€150m) for Bellingham in 2023.
Liverpool have had a really poor start to the new season.
The Reds have won just six of their first 14 Premier League games. They are already 15 points behind Arsenal, and although there’s still a lot of the season left to be played, the chances of Klopp’s side fighting for the title are very small.
Liverpool’s biggest issue, according to many people, is their midfield. They desperately need a new man in the middle of the park, and who better than the best young midfielder in world football?!
If Bellingham really wants to join Liverpool, that is a massive boost for the Reds. They should get this deal done as quickly as possible now before other clubs try to change his mind.
