David Seaman says he would take Tottenham Hotspur hero Gareth Bale at Arsenal once his Real Madrid contract expires at the end of this season.
The Welshman, branded as ‘fantastic’ by Roy Keane, showed the world that he’s still got it by scoring an absolute stunner for his country against the Czech Republic last week.
He could well lead Wales to the World Cup at the end of the year, and in order to be fit and ready to play in the biggest competition in world football, he needs to find a club where he’ll get regular game time.
Real Madrid are not that club anymore, which makes a return to the Premier League very likely this summer.
David Seaman: I would take Gareth Bale at Arsenal all day long
The Arsenal legend, in the latest episode of his Seaman Says podcast, was asked about what’s next for Bale after his contract at Real Madrid comes to an end this summer.
He replied: “I was going to say Arsenal, but I just realised he played for Tottenham. I would take him, I would take him all day long.
“He’s a quality player, there’s no doubt about that. He’ll come back and hopefully, he’ll play in the Premier League.
“Quality like that is good to see, especially with his free-kicks. It’s not just his free-kicks, it’s his delivery as well, the corners and the free-kicks he crosses in. It’s like James Ward-Prowse.”

TBR View:
It will be interesting to see where Bale will end up once his contract expires this summer but we can almost certainly say it won’t be Arsenal.
The Gunners’ transfer policy revolves around signing young players who have the potential to become world-beaters in the coming years. Bale does not check those boxes, which means there’s no way he’s an option.
As a former Spurs player and a hero to many Tottenham supporters, it’s very unlikely that Bale would even consider Arsenal, even if the Gunners actually wanted him.
The one thing that’s certain is that the Welshman will move to a bigger club this summer and if he can find his feet, whoever signs him will benefit massively.
