Sky Sports pundit and Tottenham Hotspur fan Jamie O’Hara has claimed that he’s hoping Gabriel Jesus will not join Arsenal this summer.

The Manchester City striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates over the last few weeks. Spurs have been rumoured to be interested in Jesus too, which did worry Arsenal supporters a bit.

However, reports revealed recently that Antonio Conte’s club already know that the 25-year-old would much rather join the Gunners than them, and O’Hara is not too pleased about that.

The very vocal Spurs fan has now publicly claimed that he doesn’t want Jesus to go and join Arsenal this summer.

Jamie O’Hara says he’d be gutted if Gabriel Jesus joins Arsenal

After multiple reports revealed that Arsenal are really pushing to sign Jesus and that a deal could well be possible this summer, O’Hara claims he’s hoping that the move will ‘fall flat on its face’.

He told Sky Sports: “If Arsenal get him, I’d be absolutely gutted because that is a player that would 100 per cent take them to a new level.

“Their strike force hasn’t been good enough recently and Jesus would be a huge signing for them.

“Hopefully, it falls flat on its face and it doesn’t get done.”

TBR View:

O’Hara rarely ever wishes good on Arsenal, so if he’s worried about the Gunners signing Jesus this summer, fans of the Emirates Stadium club should be really excited.

Jesus, branded as an ‘incredible’ player by Pep Guardiola, is absolutely perfect for Mikel Arteta’s system. The Brazilian works extremely hard for the team, can drop deep, link play up and also play on the shoulder of the last defender. The fact that he’s still only 25 means he’ll only get better as well.

The Manchester City star really does check all the boxes for Arsenal, and it does look like the Gunners will get this deal over the line in the coming weeks.

O’Hara, admittedly, will be ‘absolutely gutted’ if that happens, which will surely just add to the joy of Arsenal supporters.
