Report: Liverpool made contact to sign 'extraordinary' £50m player last week, now want quick answer from him

Both Liverpool and Chelsea are demanding a quick answer from Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, with the Frenchman in demand this summer.

Tchouameni is wanted across Europe this summer. Reports have suggested that Real Madrid are his favoured destination, while Arsenal are also keen on Tchouameni’s talents. It was also claimed just last week that Liverpool had initiated contact with the Frenchman, who is valued at around the £50m mark.

However, while Liverpool are keen to get a deal for Tchouameni done if they can, Marca has reported that the Reds are looking for a quick answer from the player. Along with Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking for the midfielder to give them a yes or no ASAP. Of course, that decision will aid their summer recruitment drives.

Sean Dyche's First Starting XI At Burnley: Where Are They Now?

Liverpool are well known for getting their business done quickly in the market. They did it with Luis Diaz in January and while they admire Tchouameni, they won’t hang around if we base things off past experience.

Described by Paul Pogba as an ‘extraordinary‘ talent, Tchouameni’s performances in France have brought him to the forefront of the top team’s minds.

TBR’s View: Tchouameni Brilliant But Liverpool Won’t Be Messed About

You can be the best player going but Liverpool won’t stand for any rubbish in the transfer market. They like their business done swiftly and efficiently, so any signs of a player umming and arring will be frowned upon.

Of course, Tchouameni is a class act and he will make this Liverpool team even better. He’s the perfect age to dominate for years as well, so it’s easy to see why there is such a clamour.

But, at the end of the day, if you mess Liverpool about then they’ll move on. If Tchouameni fancies the move to Anfield, then he needs to be giving his answer ASAP.
