Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes has insisted he doesn’t want to leave the club.
In an interview with Chronicle Live, the Brazilian declared he wanted to ‘be a legend’ at Newcastle.
He’s certainly well on his way to achieving that feat.
Guimaraes inspired a fantastic 5-1 win against Brentford on Saturday.
He opened the scoring with a powerful header at the back post from a well-worked corner routine.

The 24-year-old then earned himself a goal in the second half, winning back possession on the halfway line before powering a shot past David Raya.
It was the latest fantastic performance from the Brazilian since arriving on Tyneside in January.
He’s been impressing his teammates and pundits alike, and is an essential member of Eddie Howe’s starting line-up.
Guimaraes doesn’t want to leave Newcastle
Speaking to the Chronicle Live, Guimaraes said: “I never doubted the project, I believe in it. I always wanted to play in the Premier League and I am now just enjoying that.
“The ground love me and I love them. I want to keep going.
“I want to be a legend here. Real Madrid is the best team in the world, it is nice. But it is just a conversation, it is nothing.”
A report from the Daily Mail linked Guimaraes with Premier League champions Manchester City.
It will therefore be a relief to Newcastle fans that Guimaraes doesn’t want to leave the club.

The Magpies currently sit fifth in the Premier League after back-to-back wins.
Newcastle fans will be trying to stay calm about the prospect of finally returning to a European competition.
It’s been nearly ten years since St. James’ Park hosted continental football.
However, a quarter of the way through the season, Newcastle are looking good to challenge the established elite.
Guimaraes will be hoping to continue to contribute to that effort, and put in more fantastic performances.
For now, it seems as though he’s not interested in going anywhere, much to the delight of the Toon Army.
