‘I think’: Robinson believes summer Tottenham Hotspur signing has already shown how valuable he is
Tottenham Hotspur got their Champions League campaign off to the perfect start last night.
There were decent performances across the park last night for Tottenham.
The value of a clean sheet in Europe cannot be underestimated, and Conte was able to rotate much of his defence in the second-half.
However, the star of the show was Brazilian Richarlison, who headed in a brace to seal the three points.
“I think (Richarlison) he’s shown his value already and what he brings.” Robinson said.
“He played extremely well in an underperforming Everton team that only just avoided relegation last year.
“You look at his attitude and his application there, the goals that he scored, and he was a fan’s favourite.”
Richarlison already showing his value to Tottenham
The 25-year-old has had to wait his turn to break into Conte’s starting line-up.
He started his first game against Fulham on Saturday and earned rave reviews.
His first Champions League match went even better, as he finally opened his account for The Lilywhites.
As Robinson says, the Brazilian was already showing his quality and his character in a struggling Everton team last season.
Richarlison’s now proving just how valuable he can be in a team surrounded by Champions League level talent.
