Tottenham Hotspur fans won’t be rushing to watch the highlights of their game against Aston Villa.
They fell to a disappointing 2-0 defeat and very few players came away from the match with any credit.
Speaking on TalkSPORT this morning, Tony Cascarino was reflecting on yesterday’s performance.
There were very few positives to take away from the game, even if Antonio Conte was happy with his team after the match.
“About the performance, I’m not disappointed because the performance was a good performance,” Conte said.
“From the start to the end, I have seen the right commitment the right intensity. The right desire to get three points, to win duels, to press high, to run.”
Few Spurs fans will be convinced by Conte’s comments, with Tottenham finally unable to come back from conceding first.

They’ve now gone behind in each of their last ten games in all competitions, and this time their performance didn’t improve as the game went on.
Cascarino pinpointed Tottenham’s defence as the issue yesterday.
In particular, he said that centre-back Clement Lenglet isn’t good enough to play for Spurs.
None of Tottenham’s defender covered themselves in glory, but the Frenchman’s struggles were highlighted by Cascarino.
Lenglet isn’t good enough for Spurs – Lenglet
Speaking about the north London side on TalkSPORT (2/1 6:40am), Cascarino said: “Spurs out of all the top six [clubs] have got the worst back four, but it can be a back five very often.
“Lenglet, I’ve seen a lot of him at Barcelona, I don’t think he’s good enough for Spurs.
“Eric Dier has mainly been a squad player at Tottenham. You could put Davinson Sanchez in there.
“Generally, if you go across their back line, the only ones that I think should survive there is Ben Davies who’s in the twilight of his career and [Cristian] Romero.
“Emerson Royal, not good enough for Spurs. He’s a decent enough player but not for a team that’s meant to be in the top six.”

Antonio Conte has been very complimentary about Lenglet in recent days, particularly his work in training.
However, that didn’t transfer onto the pitch yesterday, as he struggled to cope with Villa’s dynamic front line.
Fabrizio Romano has previously stated that Tottenham have a ‘verbal agreement’ with Barcelona if they want to make Lenglet’s loan move permanent.
Based on yesterday’s performance, Lenglet isn’t good enough to earn that move.
Spurs have been linked with a number of other centre-backs, and may look to improve on Lenglet in the summer.
The likes of Milan Skriniar or Alessandro Bastoni could end up replacing Lenglet next season.
