He said: “The players are there (training), including new signing Gianluca Scamacca who I am told is training very, very well.”
It’s not the first time Scamacca’s performances have been praised since he arrived at the London Stadium.
David Moyes has already said he likes what he sees from the young Italian on the training ground.

It’s an encouraging sign for West Ham fans, who only a week ago were told the Italian might not be available for the opening game against Manchester City.
He ended up being named on the bench and then making a cameo appearance at the London Stadium.
There’s now a chance at Scamacca starts in the Premier League for the first time at the weekend against Nottingham Forest.

The giant Italian will be looking to score his first goal in England as quickly as possible, and a match against newly promoted Forest could be a great opportunity.
It will be difficult for him to dislodge Antonio as Moyes’ preferred forward, with the Scottish manager saying that the Jamaican international has played the best football of his career at West Ham.
With the Hammers also playing in Europe this season, there will be plenty of chances for both of them to make an impact, but Scamacca will be hoping it’s the Premier League and not the Europa Conference League where he’s making headlines.
