Raheem Sterling is edging ever closer to being an Arsenal player and it looks like things might well be wrapped up soon.

The Chelsea winger has been a hot topic of conversation throughout the day and looked to be staying firmly put at one point.

However, things changed as Chelsea agreed to a deal to loan Sterling to Arsenal and since then, things have developed at a rapid pace.

A medical is apparently booked in for Sterling to join Arsenal and over on Sky Sports, reporter Kaveh Solhekol has been giving even more information on the deal.

Lawyers now involved in getting Raheem Sterling to Arsenal

Speaking live on Sky Sports just now. Solhekol has now confirmed that Sterling’s reps and lawyers are now in the process of getting things done before the 11pm deadline.

‘Just in the last few seconds I’ve been told that the player’s representatives and his lawyers have been involved in the talks, that would suggest that a deal is very, very close,” Solhekol said.

Sterling is not going to be done in time to feature this weekend but there is a strong chance he could be among the onlookers for Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta has spoken fondly of Sterling recently and it looks like he is getting another experienced head in.

After winning his fair share of them at at Man City, could Raheem Sterling end up being the man who actually denies City this time?

Arsenal and Arteta will certainly be hoping so and he does bring a wealth of experience and quality to the ranks.
