Marcus Rashford started for Barcelona in his first-ever El Clasico, with the Manchester United loanee making an impact in Spanish football’s biggest fixture.

Marcus Rashford lined up on the left wing for Hansi Flick’s side in the legendary clash, forming part of a front four alongside the in-form Fermin Lopez, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal.

The Real Madrid side was also packed with superstars – including a familiar face for Rashford from his Manchester United days in Alvaro Fernandez.

So how did the Red Devils loanee get on?

How did Marcus Rashford perform in Barcelona vs Real Madrid?

Rashford registered yet another assist in Barcelona colours, setting up Lopez for the equaliser after Kylian Mbappe had opened the scoring.

The winger kept his composure to find the Spaniard, taking his tally to seven assists for his new side this season. That also brought him to ten goal contributions in total.

But it was, unfortunately, to no avail – with Jude Bellingham’s strike just before half-time ensuring Xabi Alonso’s side took all three points.

Liverpool summer departure Trent Alexander-Arnold also won’t be happy with his first experience of the famous La Liga fixture, with the English full-back playing a total of zero minutes.

The game ended in classic El Clasico fashion – full of drama. A huge brawl broke out, which saw Dani Carvajal square up to Yamal after Pedri was red-carded for a foul on Aurelien Tchoumeni, which warranted a second yellow.
