Trent Alexander-Arnold stunned thousands after delivering his introductory speech at Real Madrid in fluent Spanish.

The Liverpool academy graduate impressively took to the microphone in front of friends, family and Real Madrid officials inside the Santiago Bernabeu to announce himself in the native tongue, after opting to join Los Blancos on a free transfer.

Liverpool fans were slightly taken aback by how well the England international could speak Spanish after seeing his speech, leading many to question when the defender actually started to learn the language.

Now, supporters believe they have found the exact date Trent Alexander-Arnold started to think about a move to Real Madrid as details of his alleged Duolingo account emerge on X (previously known as Twitter).

Duolingo history suggests Trent Alexander-Arnold began learning Spanish in November 2021

TBR Football have checked the username @trentAA.66 below out on Duolingo to verify its existence, and while it remains to be seen if it really is Alexander-Arnold behind it, Liverpool fans sound certain.

One Liverpool supporter kicked off the conversation by posting a screenshot of the account with the caption “bro’s been learning Spanish since 2021” – which led to a flurry of replies.

Another fan noticed that Alexander-Arnold’s Duolingo package lasted four years, aligning with his Liverpool contract at the time, posting: “Four-year Duolingo contract aligning with Liverpool contract.”

A third supporter even noticed that the new Real Madrid No.12 seemingly had a particularly good day on Duolingo shortly after the 7-0 win against Manchester United, as he finished tenth in the Bronze League for Spanish lessons around that time.

Another fan posted: “(Jurgen) Klopp told us to not boo him uno (you know) and he was learning Spanish while playing under Klopp.”

A fifth pointed out: “(The account was created) five months after he signed his four-year contract.”

Lastly, another supporter was in shock, simply posting “no way” on X.
